Recently, a military coup d’etat in Myanmar or Burma
have been successful and military took over the entire country and detaining in
position leaders like Aung San Suu Kyi who is a
pro-democracy leader. The military take over began at the first day of February
or on February 1,2021.PPower over the country has been handed to military
commander in chief Min Aung Hlaing.

“Ms Suu Kyi, President Win Myint and other leaders
of the National League for Democracy (NLD) were arrested in a series of raids.
It is not clear where they are being held.”(BBC)
There have been reactions regarding the coup d’etat;
some countries condemn it and some group of people protest against it and do
civil disobedience.
Military take over is not new but military has been
ruling Myanmar in the past for many years since it become independent from
Britain in 1948.
The main point : Coup d’etat break in and military
rule has been successful again in Myanmar leaving pro-democracy leaders like Aung
San Suu Kyi out of power and position.
